Willow Springs exhibits a remarkable level of diversity in its operations. A wide range of cmus (concrete masonry units) is produced at the srws facility, showcasing their impressive capabilities. The production encompasses greyblock for various facial shapes and sizes, as well as standard sizes for both residential and commercial applications, including normal weight lens and retaining wall units. Additionally, the facility has the potential to manufacture Specialty Products. The emphasis on quality is paramount, driving the entire operation. To achieve this, the facility has invested in enhanced equipment and streamlined processes. Extensive training programs have been implemented for the sales and production teams to ensure consistent quality standards. Initially, the plant’s production capacity ranged from 100 to 200,000 blocks per month. However, with continuous growth, the facility now has the potential to produce up to 10 million blocks annually. The production at Concord location includes both commercial and residential CMU, available in standard sizes, special sizes, and shapes, along with retainer wall units. The facility benefits from a highly competent yard staff responsible for organizing all outgoing products from the plant. They ensure seamless operations for truck pickups, with daily volumes ranging from five to fifty trucks. In 2019, the production capacity at Concord doubled by incorporating a second machine. With both machines operating, they can now simultaneously produce ten units, making Concord the highest capacity plant within Johnson Concrete Products. The astonishing range of concrete products they manufacture is truly impressive. Notably, numerous retaining walls in Charlotte have been constructed using units produced on-site. The team at Concord remains committed to pursuing perfection and maximizing operational efficiency for the company.
